Dental anxiety is a reality for many patients, but it doesn’t have to stand between you and a beautiful smile. In his over 35 years of practice, Dr. Fred Peck has helped many anxious patients ease into dental care and treatment. With tools like sedation and no-drill laser dentistry, we are prepared to support you in receiving the comfortable care that you need.
Our Gentle Approach
“For many years, I’ve searched for a dentist who is willing to work with my anxiety. Dr. Peck and his staff have been the best! They stop and start at the pace I can handle and help create the best environment to keep me calm.” – Bryan Hoffman
In our practice, we prioritize your comfort. We provide responsive care, listening to and addressing your needs as they arise. We also take time to answer questions and explain anything you’re curious about. Always at the forefront of the latest dental technology, we have a variety of tools available to provide comfortable, pain-free care.
One of these tools is a hard tissue laser, which can perform the same functions as a drill without the discomfort caused by drilling. Another valuable tool we have is oral sedation.
Dental Anxiety & Sedation
Keeping you comfortable is an important reason to treat any anxiety you have before performing treatment, but it’s not the only reason. There’s an interesting link between your emotional state and your perception of pain; when you are anxious, you may tend to feel pain more easily or more intensely than you otherwise would. If you’ve ever had trouble getting numb with novocain, this complex relationship between anxiety and pain perception is what’s at play. Making sure you get numb and stay numb for the duration of your treatment is a high priority for us. For this reason, if you’re feeling anxious, we’ll recommend sedative medication to help you achieve a state of calm before moving forward with treatment.

If you’re apprehensive or even terrified, this is the place to go!” — A.M.
