Cincinnati Dental Implants

Cincinnati’s leading cosmetic dentist, Dr. Fred Peck, offers beautiful, natural-looking dental implants. He holds extensive post-graduate training in implant prosthodontics, including graduating from the Kois Center.

As Natural As Your Own Tooth

Our dental implants are expertly and intricately designed so that they blend in seamlessly and beautifully with the rest of your smile. Each implant consists of a ceramic crown attached to an abutment, which is anchored to the jaw by a fixture. Our porcelain crowns look as natural as your own teeth, as they perfectly mimic their translucency, light reflectivity, and color variation.

Stock vs Custom Abutment

And for the most natural look, we use custom abutments instead of stock ones. The difference between these two types of abutments can be seen in the image at left. Notice the gap between the gum line and the crown on the left side, which illustrates a stock abutment. The right side, illustrating a custom abutment, hugs the gumline perfectly. This subtle difference not only promotes good oral hygiene but is also the hallmark of a completely aesthetic, natural-looking dental implant.

Metal-Free Dental Implants

Implant abutments and fixtures are made of titanium, which is very biocompatible. But if you have rare allergies, metal-free zirconia abutments and fixtures are available.

Implant-Supported Dentures

In addition to our single implants, we also offer implants for supporting fixed or removable dentures. To learn more, visit our Implant-Supported Dentures page.

Our Process

Photo of a CBCT machine and a sample scan.Your first step toward dental implants is a comprehensive exam with Dr. Peck. At this time, he’ll take x-rays and a CBCT scan, which gives him a 3-dimensional view of your mouth, jaw, and nasal cavities. This view provides key information for proper implant positioning. Once the ideal placement for each implant is determined, it will be time for your implant surgery.

For your surgery, we will refer you to an oral surgeon with whom we work closely. Dr. Peck will communicate all of the specific information regarding the positioning of your implants to the surgeon, who will surgically embed each fixture precisely as indicated. After your surgery, we will wait a few months for osseointegration to occur. During this time, the implant fixture will fuse to the surrounding bone. Once that has occurred, Dr. Peck will see you back at our office to attach your crown to the implanted fixture. Then your restoration will be complete!
